1 1 SATIRICAL FAN (J214) Bumped at the start. Sent for sampling post-race.
2 5 ATOMIC BEAUTY (H066) Sent for sampling post-race.
3 3 COMET SPLENDIDO (G071) On jumping, blundered, shifted out and made contact with SUPER TAICHI. Over the concluding stages could not be ridden out when held up between SATIRICAL FAN and ATOMIC BEAUTY.
4 2 FIGHTING MACHINE (J015) Near the 250 Metres was shifted to the outside of HARRY’S HERO to secure clear running and made contact with SUPER TAICHI.
5 8 COURIER MAGIC (H290) Bumped at the start. Raced wide and without cover for the majority of the event.
6 11 AMAZING BOY (D513) From a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
7 10 PALACE PAL (G172) Held up making the Home Turn.
8 9 HARRY'S HERO (H332) In the middle stages raced keenly.
9 4 BEER PALACE (H361) Slow to begin and from a wide barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages. For some distance after the 400 Metres was badly held up behind MASTER TORNADO which was giving ground. After the race, L Ferraris could offer no explanation for his mount’s failure to run on in the Home Straight. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race did not show any significant findings.
10 12 DRAGON PRIDE (D164) From the outside barrier was shifted across behind runners in the early stages.
11 7 SUPER TAICHI (J201) On jumping was crowded between SATIRICAL FAN and COMET SPLENDIDO which shifted out. Near the 250 Metres was bumped when FIGHTING MACHINE shifted out.
12 6 MASTER TORNADO (G410) After the race, K Teetan reported that when he had concern that there may be something amiss with his mount when it commenced to give ground noticeably in the Home Straight, he eased it down from the event. A veterinary inspection immediately following the race revealed that the horse was displaying an irregular heart rhythm. Before being allowed to race again, MASTER TORNADO will be required to perform satisfactorily in a barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
