4 14 EQUATOR KID (CC134) S K Sit -- Broke well, caught wide in early stages, pushed forward to slot in behind leader, had even run throughout, angled clear on turn and gave all in straight without threatening winner.
5 12 STABLE MAIL (CE184) C Brown SR Average away, settled rearward 2 wide 8Ls from lead, did little work in the run, angled between runners on turn and received split in ample time but failed to show necessary dash.
6 6 DR WELL (CD165) G Schofield -- Bounced away, amongst leading division early, restrained to take trail 4th on fence 3Ls from lead, eased 2 wide passing 700 M and made run 3 and 4 wide in straight. Tried hard but raced very one paced.
7 7 INDUSTRIAL SUCCESS (CC317) E Saint-Martin -- Average to begin, taken back from awkward gate to settle 3rd last 2 wide 10Ls from lead, eased 4 wide on turn and chased hard making some impression in straight.
8 5 RED PEPPER (CA196) A Delpech -- Broke with then, drifted back to 3rd last on fence 10Ls from lead, spent nothing in run, made run on rails approaching turn and closed steadily in straight without looking a threat.
9 11 MILLENNIUM SPIRIT (BV221) K H Chan TT Slowly into stride, settled at rear 3 wide 10Ls from lead, raced wide with cover throughout, made run 6 and 7 wide in stretch, made no impression.
10 4 RIVER ESPERANTO (CE090) O Chavez CP/TT Average to begin, trapped 3 wide midfield early settled in mid section 8th 2 wide 8Ls from lead, under pressure turning for home. Gave little when asked.
11 3 LIBERAL'S CHOICE (CC345) C Munce -- Away well from widest draw, used up early to cross to sit at leaders girth 2 wide, challenged lead on turn but quickly lost touch when they sprinted to be well beaten. Not knocked around.
12 1 HEALTHY WEALTHY (CC067) P H Lo -- OK to jump, raced in forward division early, settled 6th 2 wide 5Ls from lead, eased 5 wide in straight, gave little thereafter to finish well back.
