6 CHATER SILK (CG050) C Munce -- Standard to break, restrained to tail from wide alley, raced well back on rails 6Ls from pace, not asked in mid-section, in traffic on turning, weaved clear passage at 100 M and flew late to narrowly miss.
14 VITALITY CHAMP (CD301) D Whyte -- Jumped with rest, allowed to take sit off speed, slotted into 1 out 1 back spot 2Ls away, had run of race in mid-section, travelled well to turn, pushed clear at 250 M and charged home to be in 3 way finish.
5 ELEGANT KING PRAWN (CE265) S Dye -- Fast into stride, showed usual speed to take up running, dictated terms in front with even sections, held 1/2L on turning, fought on strongly in straight and only claimed at 100 M. Stuck on well to make frame.
1 COURAGEOUSHEART (CD202) B Prebble B Away with rest, allowed to roll forward to assume spot at leaders girth, relaxed well and had good run with easy speed, 1/2L away on turning, kept giving until 200 M (bumped) but lacked turn of foot to figure late.
12 CELEBRATION (CB029) G Schofield B Crowded on jumping and lost position, niggled along to hold midfield spot, raced 2 wide 5Ls away in middle stages, not asked to do a lot until turn, eased out and closed race off well without really threatening.
7 ENCHANTED (CE065) A Delpech SR Began best, unable to cross early and settled just off leaders, raced 3 wide without cover 2Ls away, always working to turn, still in mix until 200 M but hard run took effect and weakened out late. (Blood in trachea.)
8 DILIGENT (CC285) H W Lai CP Bounced out well, taken back from awkward alley to race at rear, made a little ground to race 6Ls away but always wide in middle stages, had field to beat on turn, made up good late ground from too far back.
4 GALLANT FALCON (CD194) K L Chui TT Standard to begin, hard ridden to take close order, settled into 3 wide spot 5Ls away in midfield, eased 4 wide with a run on turn, made some ground late from well back.
10 FLYING KENNY (CC244) W M Lai V Fair to break, outpaced early and drifted back to settle just off midfield, 2 wide 6Ls away throughout, not travelling on turn, raced very one paced in straight and only held ground to line.
9 FAIR WIN (CE027) E Saint-Martin B- Awkward to begin, settled at rear in 2 wide spot 9 to 10Ls away, lobbed along at tail throughout, tracked rails and had job to do on turning, unable to make any real impression in straight.
13 MILITARY OPTION (CD237) D Dunn -- Average to leave gates, assumed usual rearward role, raced 2 wide 7 to 8Ls from frontrunners, not asked in mid-section, angled widest on turning, didn't offer much in run home and was one paced to line.
11 WIN FOR ALL (CD002) M W Leung -- Poor to break, pushed along to hold midfield spot, raced 4 to 5Ls away on rails, used no petrol in mid-section, struggled when pace increased at 300 M, showed nothing and plugged to line.
