6 KINGSGATE GLORY (CH020) K T Yeung B1/TT1 Made virtually all, led by a neck 1200 M out, over 1L to the good at halfway, headed briefly by MULTIMIGHTY with 200 M to race but battled back well to just prevail, gamely.
2 BUTTERFIELD (CG178) D Whyte -- Soon 4Ls back in 6th place out 2-wide, 3-wide and 3Ls back in 5th turning for home, a neck down in 3rd and looked the likeliest winner at the 200 M but failed to follow through despite narrow 2nd.
7 MULTIMIGHTY (CG175) K L Chui B/TT Never any worse than 1L off pace in 2nd out 2-wide until home turn, led briefly about 200 M out but headed again and only just missed out on the quinella.
12 KIWI DASH (CC281) W M Lai -- Settled well off the pace as usual, inconvenienced when 8Ls last at halfway, with 6Ls to make up entering home straight but ran on quite strongly to be nearest at finish.
11 BAAZIGAR (CG171) S Dye -- Crowded at start, on fence in rear about 8Ls off pace when checked about 800 M out, improved a little on rails to be 6Ls off pace turning for home, ran on fairly well, never nearer.
1 MULTO EXPRESSO (CG098) B Prebble XB 2-wide and 2Ls off pace at 1200 M in 4th, unbalanced at halfway but recovered to hold a prominent position off home turn and all out at 200 M, one-paced and faded inside the final 200 M.
9 KING OF SHAVER (CH041) C Soumillon -- Slowly away, 3-back on fence about 4Ls off pace in 5th before being very badly checked at halfway, still over 4Ls back in midfield at home straight entrance, one-paced from then on.
8 SOHNA (CG183) G Mosse CP Awkward break, caught 3-wide without cover early, 4Ls back in 4th with cover at 800 M, 2Ls down in 3rd turning for home but made no further headway and tired inside final 200 M.
5 CHINSOLA (CD328) A Starke B Crowded at start, worse than midfield when severely checked at 800 M, disappointed for running at 500 M but still 4Ls down in midfield off home turn out 3-wide, one-paced in the finish.
13 TELECOM TYCOON (CC039) F Coetzee B Towards the rear about 7Ls off pace early, still behind when inconvenienced at the 800 M, about 5Ls behind off final bend but soon outpaced.
4 CHATER DE LAGO (CG246) O Doleuze B/TT 3-wide with cover down back straight in midfield about 5Ls off speed but left without cover on circle, ridden when 3Ls down in midfield at home bend, found nothing further off bridle. (Abnormal breathing noise.)
3 FLYING WIN (CG002) S K Sit -- Caught 4-wide no cover down the back straight when about 6Ls behind and worse than midfield, bumped out 5-wide (widest of all) taking final bend, beaten well over 200 M out.
10 PERFECT ATHLETE (CG276) C W Wong H1 Unacceptable performance, always hung out very badly despite box seat run 2Ls off pace, caused plenty interference at 800 M, lost position on circle and detached turning for home.
