2 HE CAN TANGO (CG288) O Doleuze B Out in line, restrained from outside gate, settled down in last few 8Ls back in 2 wide line, appreciated fast pace, came to middle turning in, produced a big finish to hit lead at 100 M and hold off challengers despite running about.
13 TOFFEE (CE236) C K Tong -- Average getaway, back running 2nd last 9Ls off pace, given a quiet time and still well back on bend, helped by fast pace, in traffic and shifted out at 300 M, came with a strong run to be nearest on line. (Promoted from 3rd.)
7 LUCKY FRUIT (CG026) D Whyte SR Reasonable jumpout, took a midfield trail, raced 2 wide 4Ls back, tracked nicely on bend between horses, made a strong run from 250 M and set to be right in finish before being badly checked at 150 M. (Promoted from 3rd.)
11 CHATER POWER (CG312) M Nunes B/TT Fastest into stride, showed plenty of toe to lead them early, headed by outside horse who pressured throughout, maintained rails on bend despite fast pace, kicked back to regain lead and held on for 2nd before being demoted.
3 KINGIFLY (CG020) E Saint-Martin -- Out with rest but soon restrained from a wide alley to sit behind midfield, raced on rails 5 to 6Ls back, had a quiet run to bend, no clear running 400 - 200 M, closed race off well when clear to be nearest on line.
1 GIGA SPIRITS (CE335) K L Chui XB/TT Began fairly, held a midfield role 2 wide 3 to 4Ls back, had a nice run behind a solid speed, in between horses turning and into clear passing 300 M, didn't finish off with usual burst and was one paced from 200 M when run ended.
10 BRAVE KNIGHT (CC131) C W Wong -- Average jump, restrained to rear, raced 10Ls back on rails, helped but the fast tempo, eased 3 wide on bend, still last at 300 M, came to middle and closed race off nicely to be closest on line.
5 ASIAN CITRUS (CH246) B Prebble -- Amongst first few to begin, couldn't hold spot and lost ground to be 4Ls back on rails, saved ground on bend, didn't have much room early in straight but effort was devoid of acceleration from 250 M. Just battled.
6 DIVINE TOUCH (CG291) G Mosse B- Even getaway, couldn't slot in and ended up 3 wide 4 to 5Ls away in midfield, had cover on circle, 3Ls down and into clear from 400 M, steadied slightly at 250 M but didn't finish race off final furlong.
4 ENCORE WIN (CH251) F Coetzee SR1/TT1 Average beginning, pressed on 3 wide in midfield, raced 3Ls down with cover on bend, close enough on turning in but couldn't find when workload took toll and just battled in run to line.
12 CHOICE AND CHANCE (CA381) S Dye B Out with rest, rushed up to look for front, hit lead but couldn't find rail, kept pressure on at a good speed and drew 3 to 4Ls clear on bend, led turning in, early burn took effect and stopped quickly from 200 M.
14 BULB TREASURE (CH048) S K Sit -- Showed good pace from outset, held spot behind leaders on rails, raced 2 to 3Ls back and had run of race to bend, under pressure but without a run to 200 M, found little when in clear and weakened last 100 M.
9 RAINBOW OASIS (CH165) D Nikolic -- Standard jump, ridden up to go forward 3 and 4 wide, raced 3 wide 2Ls back without cover, did share of work to bend with speed on, still there to 200 M but hard run took effect and dropped off sharply late.
8 CLASSA SUPREME (CG261) H W Lai TT Began reasonably well, pressed on from a wide alley 5 deep early, raced 4 wide 2Ls back without cover (hanging on bend), came to middle 1L down turning, was a spent force at 300 M and weakened tamely.
