14 ROYAL PRINCE (CH072) B Prebble TT Awkwardly away but soon recovered and drove through towards leading bunch, slotted in perfectly behind leader at 1200 M and had run of race to bend, switched out and hit clear at 350 M, asserted authority last 250 M for another easy win.
11 GOODY (CD239) A Delpech -- No speed as usual, showed enough to hold a midfield spot on rails 4Ls off pace, had a soft run thereafter, travelled well on bend, shifted out in straight and made good ground last 300 M finding winner too good on day.
10 FIRM OFFER (CE008) K L Chui SR Ordinary getaway, drifted back to tail to assume usual trailing role, raced 2 wide 7 to 8Ls back but helped by tempo, switched 3 wide on circle, last turning, closed best of rest down outside rail to snatch 3rd.
5 SURVEY SURVEY (CH070) O Doleuze XB1/TT Tardy to begin, settled back with last few, raced 2 wide 6Ls back, not harmed by tempo, had an easy time throughout, well back between horses turning in, came to better part of going and closed off well before run ended at 100 M.
1 DOWN TOWN (CG054) C W Wong TT Showed customary speed to hold a forward spot just off lead pair when unable to cross, improved 3 wide without cover to share lead on circle, hit front at 400 M, collared at 250 M and just held ground thereafter.
6 TIBER (CD155) Y T Cheng XB/TT Standard break, posted wide in midfield from outside alley, raced 5Ls of pace 4 wide on circle eventually, getting cover, came to extreme outside in straight and closed steadily without threatening.
9 ORIENTAL MAGIC (CE133) F Coetzee -- Moderate getaway, soon in last few, raced on rails 6 to 7Ls back, not harmed by tempo, improved to be 4Ls down turning, switched out but not on best ground when running on until 100 M before run ended.
12 SUPREME GAINS (CG057) D Whyte SR-/B1 No early speed, recovered to hold a position 4Ls back in midfield running line, improved between horses on bend, 3Ls down turning in, switched out but lacked usual finishing burst just battling away in run to line.
13 HIGH INTELLIGENT (CD317) M Nunes V Bounced out, up there with first few, faded back to race 3 wide in midfield 4Ls back, had a nice trail to turn, switched to better going but run ended at 200 M and weakened out after a tough trip.
8 WEALTHY (CD164) K T Yeung SR Away in line, raced behind midfield as expected, posted 3 wide with cover 6Ls back, urged along on bend, well back turning in, made only moderate headway on worsed ground in straight.
7 SILVER SUN (CE126) M W Leung -- Restrained from a wide alley, raced 3 wide at rear 7Ls off lead, had cover and suited by speed, made a 4 wide run on circle, still back with last few turning in, widest of all and made little progress in straight.
2 GOLD STRIKER (CD365) D Nikolic -- Amongst first few to hit ground, couldn't slot in and posted 4 wide without cover 2 to 3Ls back, always working with pace on, improved to be 1/2L down turning in, hard run took toll and weakened from 300 M.
3 SATURN (CD154) C K Tong TT Began well, up challenging for front but unable to cross, raced at leader's girth applying pressure throughout, right there on turning, failed to quicken and gradually faded out (on worsed going).
4 BEETHOVEN (CC133) W M Lai -- Fast into stride, showed plenty of dash to hold early lead, keep pace even before backing off on circle, challenged on bend and just lead turning, quickly passed and found no response in straight (on worsed going).
