4 4 GALLANT KNIGHT (CC189) K T Yeung V/TT Enjoyed a nice run on fence 2Ls or so off pace in 3rd until the home straight, every chance when a neck 3rd at the 200 M, no extra closing stages.
5 6 THUNDER VALLEY (CG074) K L Chui B/H 2-wide and 2Ls off pace in 3rd at 1100 M, ridden along to maintain this proximity at final bend, kept on without quickening.
6 1 SAVUTE (CE326) H W Lai B Disputed early out 2-wide, a little keen before crossing to lead on fence by 2Ls at 800 M, headed about 150 M out, finished off at same pace.
7 5 LIVERBIRD (CE055) S K Sit B 7Ls back in midfield on fence at halfway, trying to challenge when 3Ls down in 5th at final turn, run ended final 200 M.
8 7 MASTER DREAMER (CE293) W M Lai B 2Ls back in 4th at 1200 M, 4Ls back in 5th at 800 M and similar off final turn, briefly loomed a place chance at 200 M but couldn't follow through.
9 11 SUPREME DRAGON (CH161) O Doleuze -- Never any better than midfield, 2-wide in 8th about 7Ls back at 800 M, ridden along to improve on straightening, never really threatened.
10 2 BUCCANEER (CH214) M W Leung -- Slowly away, restrained in 10th on fence about 8Ls off pace early on, making headway when short of room about 350 M out, never looked like breaking from the pack.
11 12 NOT QUITE PERFECT (CG254) Y T Cheng TT Caught 3-wide without cover in rear about 8Ls off pace early on, wider off final bend when 6Ls down, never in the hunt.
12 8 KAISER'S PRIZE (CD350) S Dye -- Settled well back in rear about 9Ls off speed at 800 M, on fence and 6Ls off pace swinging for home, always chasing at least half the field.
13 10 PRIMIATA (CG226) D Whyte B/TT Bumnped at start, 6Ls back in 6th at halfway, closer turning for home and all out to be within 2Ls of the lead at the 200 M, tired markedly final stages.
14 9 MEDIC LEGION (CE162) B Prebble -- Eased back from the start, always a good 9Ls from the front down backstretch and 6Ls off pace at home turn when under pressure, very much outpaced. (Lame following morning.)
