6 HOLD HANDS (CH116) C K Tong B Standard break, had no early pace and ended up 5Ls back on rails, suited by reasonable speed, eased 2-wide passing Rock, still well back turning, into clear at 150 M and dashed hard late to finish over the top of them.
7 NOBLE SILENCE (CD238) K Shea -- Slowly away, settled behind midfield 4Ls back, had an easy time in mid-section, angled 2-wide passing Rock, gained split on turning and finished race off nicely hitting front before being overhauled late.
5 SOLAR POWER (CE047) M Nunes TT Away okay, couldn't take closer order and ended up 3-wide in midfield, had a tough run without cover in middle stages, 4Ls down turning, closed race of nicely out wide to just miss 2nd.
3 VICTORY TREASURE (CE031) Z Purton V/TT Bounced out with them, had a nice trip in prime position 1 out 1 back, 4Ls back at mid-point, improved to be 2Ls down on turning, challenged for lead at 150 M and missed a place in way go.
10 QUALITY-QUALITY (CE250) Y T Cheng -- No real pace from outset, faded back near to last, raced 7-8Ls back in 2-wide line, helped by tempo, well back on turning, switched out and closed hard to finish a close up 5th.
1 NOBLE HEART (CC355) B Prebble B/TT Well enough to begin, took up spot 3Ls back on fence, had nice trip in middle stages, took inside runs on turning in, had chance but failed to quicken and just held ground to line.
9 FRIENDSHIP (CE066) O Doleuze -- Showed customary speed to lead shortly after start but handed up leaving straight, did share of work trailing reasonable pace, close enough on bend, didn't have extra gear and just held ground last 200 M.
4 AWARD (CE111) G Mosse TT No early pace as usual, raced at tail 10Ls back, suited by fast pace, kept to rails and saved ground on circle, made only moderate headway along inside in straight.
8 CLASSIC REUNION (CH166) D Beadman SR-/CP1 Average jump but showed move initiative to take a spot first without cover 3Ls back in 2-wide line, forced to work a bit with genuine pace, took over briefly on turning but had little to offer last 200 M.
2 LUMINOUS (CE300) F Coetzee -- Moderate getaway, didn't go forward as usual and dropped to tail, raced 10Ls back in 2-wide line, well back and struggling to bend, passed a few tired runners in run to line.
12 OPERA MAGIC (CB404) C W Wong -- Standard jump, pressed on but unable to slot in, raced 3-wide in midfield without cover 5Ls back, kept working to be 2Ls back turning, couldn't find in straight and weakened when effort took toll.
11 RAINBOW OASIS (CH165) S K Sit B Showed plenty of pace to take up running from a wide gate, did plenty of work setting speed in front, came back to them on circle, under pressure turning and unbalanced, dropped out thereafter.
