2 9 CLEMENT ELITE (CH004) G Boss CP- Began only fairly, outpaced early, settled 4L or so back on fence, had an easy time in middle stages, ridden along on bend, wound up late charging between horses to take 2nd.
3 3 RICH DRAGON (CG079) D Beadman V No pace as usual, settled behind midfield 5Ls back in 2-wide line, not helped when pace slowed, travelled soundly to take placing.
4 5 TREASURE COLT (CE308) Y T Cheng B/TT Began well, took a sit on leaders back, enjoyed an easy run when pace slowed, close enough on turning in, run opened on straightening in and threatened to 100 M but condition gave out last bit.
5 2 ASIAN CITRUS (CH246) O Doleuze B1/TT Showed plenty of dash to lead them from widest gate, slackened speed to suit after early burn, controlled race to bend, held a 1L advantage turning and kicked but struggled last 150 M when run ended.
6 1 BRILLIANT ONE (CG212) F Coetzee -- Began with them, took up coveted 1 out 1 back spot, had run of race however niggled along on bend, clear running appeared on turning but lacked on extra gear and just held ground in run to line.
7 12 SILLY BOY (CC094) P H Lo B/TT Restrained from outset, ended up 6 to 7Ls away on rails, harmed when speed slowed, continued to improve on circle, made good headway in straight before being held up at 100 M. Not fully tested. (See Racing Incidents.)
8 11 SHINING DRAGON (CC181) Z Purton SR Fast into stride, took a forward position outside the leader, suited when pace steadied, still 1L down on turning, had no extra when they dashed and closed at same rate to line.
9 8 GOLDEN WIN (CE062) B Prebble B Failed to muster, ended up 5Ls back in running line, unsuited when pace steadied, had something to offer on bend but didn't let down in straight producing a only one-paced effort.
10 7 GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY (CJ015) G Mosse -- Slow into stride, took up spot 8Ls back sharing rear, not helped by steady pace, still had job to do on bend, couldn't find enough to be in contention.
11 4 KINGSTON WINNER (CC024) K T Yeung B Out with them, pushed on but unable to slot in, posted 3-wide without cover 2Ls back, pace helped but kept working to bend, offered little in straight dropping out late.
12 10 TELEWIN (CJ010) K L Chui TT Moderate getaway, ended up at tail 5 or so more lengths back, never really travelled in run, struggling on bend and made no impression in straight.
