2 7 LONDON EXPRESS (CH107) G Mosse -- Raced along the rails in rear section. 2-back on the fence turning for home. Had trouble finding a clear path in the early part of the straight. Closed off the strongly but unable to threaten winner.
3 4 FLORAL NIRVANA (CH232) B Prebble TT Settled towards the rear and was near last on straightening. Rallied in the straight for a minor placing.
4 8 AMSTERDAM (CE140) Z Purton XB/H/TT Settled 2-wide behind midfield. Made progress 800 M out and was 3-wide in a forward spot turning for home. Stayed on fairly but unable to turn up a notch in the final stages to remain in contention.
5 1 FANTASTIC DANCER (CJ001) M Nunes B Settled behind the pace early stages. Raced 4 to 5Ls off the lead in 3rd back straight. Improved to be alongside the leader turning for home and had a short-lived lead 200 M out. Only kept same pace thereafter. (Saddle shifted)
6 2 ELECTRONICS SPUR (CE285) G Boss XB/TT Settled 2-wide behind midfield. Progressed to midfield but was 3-wide at home turn. Ran on fairly in the home straight but had to be steadied 100 M out.
7 11 SEA TREASURE (CD335) E Wilson B Raced in midfield or behind. 4Ls off the lead turning for home. Kept on fairly after straightening. Found some difficulty getting a clear run but unable to sustain effort when clear in the final stages.
8 5 COURAGEOUSHEART (CD202) D Beadman B/TT Urged forward with the stick and took the lead 1600 M out. Held a narrow advantage into the home straight but was swamped after being headed 200 M out.
9 3 LOCAL POWER (CH296) C W Wong -- Led briefly in the early stages but unable to cross to the rails. Settled behind the leader in back straight. Remained in a prominent spot turning for home but never got a clear path in the home straight. (See Racing Incidents - mucopus.)
10 10 SPARKLING STAR (CD055) S K Sit B Dropped back from widest draw and raced at the rear. Trailed field on straightening and never picked up.
