2 2 PRIME SCORE (CG280) C W Wong B Fastest away, displayed good pace to cross from an outside alley, backed off tempo after early burn, held 3/4L lead on bend, wound up on turning in, kept fighting impressively to go down narrowly in finish.
3 9 LUCKY HERO (CH135) D Beadman -- Lacked usual pace, settled behind mifield 5 to 6Ls back in running line, proved difficult to settle, made a 3 wide run on bend, bumped 4 wide in straight, chased hard final 300 M to be not far away in finish.
4 1 GALLANT LION (CG243) C Soumillon H Slow to begin, ended up 6 to 7Ls away in usual spot near rear, helped by early pace but not so when they steadied, still well back in traffic turning, into clear at 250 M and closed best of rest to make frame.
5 6 EXPRESS WIN (CJ042) B Prebble SB/TT Well enough away, slotted into prime position 1 out 1 back, enjoyed run of race in mid-section, close enough on turning in, lacked turn of foot but kept on soundly to be not far away on line.
6 3 REGENCY DRAGON (CH001) B Fayd'herbe B/TT Out in line, lacked through to hold position on leaders back, had a fair run in middle stages, kept on soundly at same pace just failing to quicken to be a factor in finish.
7 8 HE CAN TANGO (CG288) O Doleuze B Tardy into stride, regathered to take a spot 3Ls back on rails, had a quiet run throughout, still in behind horses turning and held up at 300 M, closed race off fairly when clear.
8 13 SECRET OF KINGS (CG102) Z Purton P-/H-/B2/TT Moderate beginning, raced 6Ls back on fence, enjoyed a soft run but proved difficult to settle when pace slowed, made progress between horses in straight and looked a place chance before run ended at 250 M.
9 12 MY HOME TOWN (CH331) D Whyte -- No real early pace, ended up in rearward division, raced 7Ls back in 2 wide line, still back amongst horses on circle, bumped on turning, lacked usual close and just held position inner to line. (Jockey reported "flat".)
10 4 SUPER TRAVELLER (CH275) K M Chin -- Showed early pace, restrained to take cover 3 wide 3Ls back, had even run despite covering extra ground, asked to make run turning but lacked sprint of rivals and didn't close at required rate, tired late.
11 11 ISLAND SUPER (CH297) E Saint-Martin -- Allowed to drift back from a wide alley, raced 3 wide behind midfield 6Ls back with cover, improved on circle however forced very wide on bend, unable to make impression in straight.
12 10 FLUKE (CJ061) G Mosse TT No early pace, raced at tail of field 8Ls back in a 2 wide spot suited early but not really aided when they steadied, still well back on circle, set a big task but only struggled in run to line.
13 7 HELENE PILLAGING (CC084) F Coetzee -- Reasonable break, pushed on in search of spot however posted 3 wide without cover, did share of work throughout close enough making turn, hard run took toll and dropped out in straight.
14 14 DON FELIPE (CD273) H W Lai -- Fair to begin, assumed a midfield spot 4 to 5Ls back, used little in run, niggled along on turning, without a clear run until 300 M out but found little thereafter and faded out late.
