7 11 LIVERBIRD (CE055) H W Lai B Had a soft trail on the leader's back in 3rd about 2Ls off speed, pressured despite the cushy trip turning for home, one-paced inside the final furlong.
8 6 GOLDEN BALL (CH128) E Saint-Martin -- Away well but opted to ease back to 9Ls last at the 1200 M, much the same spinning for home, recovered a little late ground but never a genuine threat. (Questioned.)
