7 LEGEND EXPRESS (CK224) H W Lai B1 Took a while to muster and settled in midfield 5Ls off the pace, into clear 400 M out, quickened well to hit the front near 200 M, kept on to score cosily.
3 FLYING SUPREME (CK226) B Doyle -- Standard break, unable to shift in and trapped 4 deep in midfield, hampered and carried very wide making the home turn, finished strongly down the outside but the winner had enough to hold on.
4 FUN RIDER (CK231) W C Marwing -- Began awkwardly and lost ground, settled in 2nd last and was placed in a very unpromising position turning in, held up behind horses early in straight but hit top gear inside 200 M to finish closest on the line.
9 MARK UP (CK247) D Whyte -- Taken back on jumping from a wide barrier, travelled in a rearward position over 7Ls back in early stages but moved closer on turning, stayed on well and put in some solid late work.
13 SHIBALA (CK230) D Beadman B Never far off the pace in 4th, 2-wide making the turn but inclined to hang out, came with a strong looking challenge but couldn't sustain effort inside final 100 M.
11 PERPETIEL (CK229) J Lloyd -- Shaken up and went forward soon after jumping from the inside draw, placed handily just off the pace and appeared to travel well, attempted a run down the inside but unable to produce a change of gear.
14 TRAVEL KING (CK240) K T Yeung TT Average break, ridden along to hold a position in front of midfield, plugged on inside 300 M but was never going to trouble the principals.
2 DASHING VICTORY (CK241) B Prebble XB Not the fastest away but gradually crept forward to race prominently alongside leader, hit front briefly on straightening but offered disappointingly little inside the final 200 M.
12 REDOUTE STAR (CK245) M Chadwick TT Slow to begin, ended up racing in detached last trailing over 10Ls to leader, still at the rear inside 300 M but encountered traffic problem and didn't have a clear crack in the run to the line.
5 HEALTHY BLUEBERRY (CK222) Y T Cheng -- Jumped well but soon drifted back to midfield, carried wide on turning, had his chance but unable to quicken when the race heated up.
10 NEW LEADER (CK242) M W Leung -- Close to midfield in early stages, lost ground before making the home turn and was shuffled back to 3rd last, held up behind a wall of horses in the straight and didn't obtain a clear run throughout. (Not properly tested.)
1 DEVON JOY (CK237) M Du Plessis -- Well enough away but was gradually shuffled back to a midfield position, had 3Ls to make up turning in but was quickly outpaced inside 300 M. No impression.
6 BRIGHT TOUCH (CK243) W M Lai B First to jump, restrained to a position behind leaders but travelled ungenerously, struggled from 300 M and dropped away tamely.
8 LUCKY SELECTION (CK228) K C Leung B/TT1 Ordinary jump from the widest barrier, urged to the front and crossed to lead along the rails entering the home turn, headed inside 350 M and failed to last home.
