11 FAMILISTS (M102) M L Yeung B Landed a midfield role 4ls or so back racing 2 wide, all favours in run and suited by tempo, chimed in at right time turning in and went clear at 300m, held rivals safely over concluding stages.
1 RAINBOW CHIC (P118) B Prebble TT2 Tardy into stride, positioned behind midfield 5-6ls back in running line, suited by a decent tempo, made run through field turning in, set out strongly after winner but couldn't wear down margin, kept on for a game 2nd.
9 GENKI TWINS (N223) Z Purton XB Settled back with last few, raced 3 wide 7ls back, tracked up 4 and 5 wide rounding bend, produced a strong finish down middle to make good headway and take 3rd.
2 HAPPY ERA (N378) T Angland B Dropped back to near last on rails from a wide alley, 6-7ls back, suited by a decent tempo, saved ground on rails turning, closed well along inside but peaked on run final 100m.
6 WINNING LEADER (N268) Y T Cheng H Trapped wide from an awkward gate, always working 4 wide without cover 4-5ls back, kept coming and was 6th turning, held ground well in straight given workload (see racing incidents).
4 BLAZING SPEED (P192) C Y Ho TT Showed usual speed to work across and take lead, set decent clip in front, kept rolling turning in but couldn't dash with eventual winner at 300m, tired and dropped off inside final furlong.
12 VITAL GOLD (N398) R Fourie B Showed early speed, worked a bit before taking trail on leaders back, fair run thereafter, right there turning but lacked extra gear to feature and just kept on fairly final furlong.
10 NICE FOLKS (CL421) O Doleuze B Took a spot on rails behind pace, 3-4ls back in midfield, enjoyed a soft run to turn, between runners turning but didn't quicken, stayed on holding ground in run to line.
7 KABAYAN (P345) T Berry H1/XB1 Taken back from widest gate to share rear, 7s back racing 2 wide, still had field to beat turning, in traffic at 200m and made some minor headway when clear but never looked likely.
8 GREEN EAGLE (N052) K C Leung B Took ideal spot 1 out 1 back, used a little with decent sections early, fair run in mid-section, looked a place chance turning but just had one speed final 300m and weakened out late.
13 TRUMP (P106) H W Lai TT Away fairly, raced 3 wide behind midfield with cover 5-6ls back, covered share of ground to bend, no clear run early straight but couldn't get closer when clear, kept on fairly all the same.
14 JOLLY FINE (M294) C Y Lui B No early pace, raced 5ls or more away on rails behind midfield, didn't use much in run, checked when in traffic at 350m however just battled away when clear.
3 VICTORY MASTER (M148) W C Marwing B/XB Unable to slot in and posted 3 wide without cover in midfield, did share of work with decent speed on, began to fade from 400m and gradually dropped out when workload took effect.
5 REAL SUPREME (CL247) A Suborics B/TT Pressed forward from a wide gate to race outside leader, kept speed even throughout, niggled n turning, faded out cheaply in straight.
