Racing Incident Report
SUPER CAGA bounded in the air as the start was effected and consequently was slow to begin. NOTUS began awkwardly. After the 1200 Metres, FORTUNE SIX and ENJOY THE FUN raced tight. For some distance after the 1200 Metres, SCENT OF OSMANTHUS and JOHN DORY raced tight inside HAIR BEAUTY (K C Leung). Then near the 1000 Metres, JOHN DORY got its head on the side and shifted in of its own accord, resulting in SCENT OF OSMANTHUS losing ground when having to be steadied away from the heels of JOHN DORY. K C Leung was severely reprimanded and advised in similar circumstances he would be expected to provide runners to his inside with comfortable racing room. After the 1000 Metres, SUPER CAGA was awkwardly placed inside the heels of FORTUNE SIX which was racing tight inside ENJOY THE FUN. NOTUS, which was following FORTUNE SIX, was steadied away from the heels of that horse in consequence. After the 800 Metres, FORTUNE SIX commenced to over-race and shifted out away from the heels of ENJOY THE FUN, resulting in EMPIRE CITY, which was racing wide and without cover, being taken wider. Approaching the 600 Metres, FORTUNE SIX raced tight between EMPIRE CITY and ENJOY THE FUN which attempted to shift out. In the Straight, DILIGENT III lay in under pressure. ENJOY THE FUN, JOHN DORY and SOLAR BOY were sent for sampling.
