Racing Incident Report

SINCERE HORSE shifted out at the start and bumped SUN TOUCH.
BRILLIANT DREAM and GREAT SON bumped at the start.
When being steadied to obtain cover in the early stages, ADONIS got its head up on a number of occasions and proved difficult to restrain.
For some distance after the 1200 Metres, WONDERFUL TIGER travelled keenly.
After the 1100 Metres, SUN TOUCH got its head up when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed close to the heels of GREAT SON.
Approaching the 700 Metres, BRILLIANT DREAM commenced to travel keenly and got its head up when being checked away from the heels of EMPIRE STAR.
Rounding the Home Turn, BRILLIANT DREAM was awkwardly placed close to the heels of EMPIRE STAR.
SUN TOUCH was held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight.
EMPIRE STAR was badly held up for clear running in the early part of the Straight and at the 300 Metres was checked away from the heels of E MASTER.
Near the 350 Metres, WONDERFUL TIGER, which was commencing to give ground, was momentarily awkwardly placed outside the heels of SUN TOUCH.
Approaching the 100 Metres, AVELLINO got its head on the side and shifted out towards the heels of BRILLIANT DREAM. Because of this, AVELLINO was not able to be properly tested over the latter stages of the race.
Over the concluding stages, EMPIRE STAR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of SUN TOUCH and consequently was not able to be ridden out all the way to the end of the race.
Throughout the race, WONDERFUL TIGER and E MASTER travelled wide and without cover.
When questioned, K Teetan stated that he was asked to obtain cover on NOBLE DE LOVE as the horse had travelled keenly in some of its races and it was felt that obtaining cover would provide the horse with the best opportunity to settle. He said, from a wide barrier, he was asked that if he could obtain a forward position without having to ride his mount along too aggressively, then he should do so, however, it was stressed to him the need to ensure that NOBLE DE LOVE did not over-race. He said after beginning well he noted that runners to his inside were being ridden along in the early stages and he felt that to obtain a forward position would have required him to make significant use of NOBLE DE LOVE which may have resulted in the horse over-racing. He said he therefore elected to obtain cover behind E MASTER albeit further back in the field than had been hoped. He said NOBLE DE LOVE travelled strongly in the middle stages and after being shifted to the outside of E MASTER at the entrance to the Straight the horse initially quickened nicely. He added whilst NOBLE DE LOVE stayed on well over the concluding stages, he believes that the horse is better suited by a more consistent, genuine speed in the race which would allow it the opportunity to finish off the race. He said he had ridden NOBLE DE LOVE in two barrier trials since it last start and at its most recent trial the horse was ridden from about a midfield position and then, when asked in the Straight, NOBLE DE LOVE finished off the trial strongly. Mr F C Lor, the trainer of NOBLE DE LOVE, confirmed the instructions given to K Teetan and he also had stressed to Jockey Teetan the need to have the horse relaxed in the race. He said because of these factors, he was satisfied with the manner in which Jockey Teetan rode NOBLE DE LOVE today.
SUN TOUCH and UNIQUE JOYFUL were sent for sampling.
