Racing Incident Report
TURF LUCK and HAPPY HARVEST were slowly away. STAR OF WAH YAN left the gates very awkwardly with its head up, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of CYBER WISDOM. About the 1000 Metres, FAIRWAY FINDER got its head up when being steadied to avoid the heels of AFICIONADO which shifted in to be racing beside CALIFORNIA KID. About the 900 Metres, CALIFORNIA KID and AFICIONADO bumped due mainly to CALIFORNIA KID pulling and shifted out slightly from behind THE MOST DAUNTLESS. About the 500 Metres, CALIFORNIA KID was momentarily awkward between THE MOST DAUNTLESS and AFICIONADO. Near the winning post, CYBER WISDOM, which was finishing off strongly, bumped the hindquarters of THE MOST DAUNTLESS. Because of this THE MOST DAUNTLESS was put onto the heels of CALIFORNIA KID. Before the declaration of weighed-in, Mr D A Hayes, trainer of CALIFORNIA KID, and D Dunn, rider, sought permission to view the available video films as they were of the view an incident might have occurred between the 600 Metres and the 300 Metres which could have justified an objection being lodged. After viewing the available films, they decided it was inappropriate to proceed with an objection on this occasion. Accordingly weighed-in was semaphored.
