Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, SUPER BLITZ stood flat-footed and then on jumping shifted out abruptly. As SUPER BLITZ has performed similarly in the past, it will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial before being allowed to race again. GREEN CENTURY began very awkwardly, became unbalanced, shifted in and bumped HELENE PILLAGING. As a consequence of this, GREEN CENTURY lost ground. HAPPY MOMENTUM was slow to begin. In the early stages, KIMBERLY MINES, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of FIVE GRAINS. For a considerable distance after the 1000 Metres, FIVE GRAINS, which was proving difficult to settle, got its head up when awkwardly placed close to the heels of DANEHILL WARRIOR, then after the 800 Metres shifted out away from that runner and in turn caused inconvenience to HAPPY MOMENTUM. Making the Home Turn, KIMBERLEY MINES hung out. For some distance approaching and passing the 200 Metres, KIDDYLAND had difficulty obtaining clear running from behind LUCKY STALLION and inside MY CHOICE. Near the 100 Metres, KIDDYLAND was shifted to the outside of MY CHOICE into clear running. After the 100 Metres, GREEN CENTURY got its head on the side, hung in and was then steadied away from the heels of KIDDYLAND. WHATABOB, MY CHOICE and LUCKY STALLION were sent for sampling.
