Racing Incident Report
MACASSAR was slow to begin. CLASSIC ENERGY and EAST OCEAN bumped heavily at the start, resulting in EAST OCEAN being taken out onto SOLAR BOY which became unbalanced. After this, EAST OCEAN was taken across behind runners. In the early stages, SUNSEEKER travelled wide and without cover and after the 1100 Metres was allowed to stride forward to race outside the lead. Approaching and passing the 1200 Metres, MACASSAR proved difficult to settle when being steadied away from the heels of GREAT GUY. Passing the 900 Metres, MIGHTY FEELING was awkwardly placed between SUNSEEKER and SOLAR BOY which got its head on the side and shifted out. Rounding the Home Turn, MACASSAR was awkwardly placed close to the heels of MIGHTY FEELING. Shortly after entering the Straight, EAST OCEAN was shifted in away from the heels of SUPER THUNDER. Near the 100 Metres, MACASSAR was steadied when crowded for room between SUNSEEKER which shifted in slightly and GREAT GUY which was taken out by HAPPY MASTER. A veterinary inspection of EAST OCEAN after the race did not show any significant findings. MACASSAR, MY WAY and GREAT RENOWN were sent for sampling.
