Racing Incident Report
MULTIVICTORY was withdrawn on 22.6.13 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (substantial amount of mucopus in trachea on scoping) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter EASY SUCCESS (M Chadwick). Before being allowed to race again, MULTIVICTORY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
LAUGH OUT LOUD began only fairly.
From wide barriers, B CHOICE and MY NAME IS BOND were taken across behind runners shortly after the start.
For some distance passing the 1100 Metres, HEARTILY TALK (H W Lai) and SUPER JOCKEY raced tight and approaching the 1000 Metres HEARTILY TALK struck the heels of SUPER JOCKEY and blundered. After taking evidence from H W Lai and after examining the video of this incident, the Stewards noted the extravagant action of HEARTILY TALK and in particular its right front leg. This matter will be brought to the attention of Trainer T W Leung who will be advised that the Stewards will monitor HEARTILY TALK’s action in its future starts.
After the 1000 Metres, when crossed by MONEYMAKER, SUPER JOCKEY commenced to over-race and got its head up on a number of occasions when awkwardly placed close to the heels of that horse. GLORIOUS SUNDAY, which was following, also commenced to over-race and was shifted out away from the heels of SUPER JOCKEY near the 950 Metres. After this, GLORIOUS SUNDAY raced close to the heels of SUPER JOCKEY for some distance when continuing to prove difficult to settle.
Passing the 1000 Metres, MISTER MARC proved difficult to settle, got its head on the side and shifted out towards the hindquarters of MONEYMAKER.
Passing the 100 Metres, GLORIOUS SUNDAY was hampered and taken wider by SUPER JOCKEY which got its head on the side and shifted out abruptly.
In the Straight, MY NAME IS BOND lay in under pressure.
Throughout the race, SUPER CAGA travelled wide and without cover.
After the race, an endoscopic examination was conducted on GLORIOUS SUNDAY at the request of Trainer J Size. The Veterinary Surgeon said this examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, GLORIOUS SUNDAY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination.
GLORIOUS SUNDAY, SPARKLING B and SUPER JOCKEY were sent for sampling.
