1 SIGHT WINNER (CJ049) D Whyte -- Reasonable jump, rolled on to a prominent position not far off from leader, edged out to challenge in straight, showed remarkable acceleration to take charge 250 M out, pulled well clear for a decisive victory.
2 AMBITIOUS GENERAL (CJ066) E Saint-Martin XB-/CP/TT2 Standard getaway, assumed a handy spot on the rail about 2Ls off the pace, cruising to bend, commenced move 300 M, responded well but no match to the winner. A credible 2nd nevertheless.
8 MEDICO (CH075) D Beadman -- Standard jump, taken a spot in mid-division 5Ls back, creeped closer on the turn, made good progress down the centre of track but never looked like catching the winner.
5 TIME SUPREME (CE012) Y T Cheng -- Missed the start and lost ground, ended up racing in rear trailing 10Ls to leader, made move from 500 M, taken extreme wide on straightening, finished the race strongly to be nearest on line.
4 WINNING REWARD (CE254) B Doyle B Awkwardly away, enjoyed a soft run with steady pace on, used little to bend, switched wide to challenge, picked up well and ran on steadily without threatening.
3 LU YUE (CH278) C W Wong B/H Hard ridden from the outside barrier in search for lead, taken up running from 1100 M under a steady tempo, held narrow advantage on straightening, headed near 250 M and gradually weakened in run to line.
6 DISGUISE (CG004) Z Purton B Taken to a rearward spot after start, overraced in early stages, raced 8Ls behind leader down the back straight, improving on turn, didn't find much under pressure, kept on only fairly.
11 NILOMETER (CD052) C K Tong B/TT Even jump, settled in mid-division about 6Ls from the leader, found little on straightening and just battled away in straight.
7 IRON FIST (CH143) M Du Plessis TT Broke well from the inside barrier, rolled on to a prominent position just behind leader under steady tempo, travelled well enough but unable to pick up in straight, weakened inside 200 M.
10 DASH AHEAD (CD199) H W Lai SR Taken to the rail after start, travelled patiently in rear trailing 9Ls to leader, under pressure rounding home bend, found little in straight and beat tired runners only.
12 BUTTERFIELD (CG178) W M Lai B Hard pressed early to hold a position better than midfield about 4-5Ls off pace, ridden to stay in touch on turning, couldn't go with them in straight, faded inside 100 M.
9 MELLIFLUOUS (CH212) G Mosse V/XB/H Jumped well, restrained to race in mid-division about 6Ls back, showed keenness throughout, folded quickly in straight. No impression.
