1 ALGARVE (CK239) B Prebble -- Allowed to relax in midfield 5Ls or more from top end, all favours in run, balanced up turning in and let down with powerful sprint, ran away final 200 M to score convincingly.
12 NAPA II (CJ248) K C Leung -- Standard jump, ridden up to settle 4Ls back on rails, tracked speed nicely to bend, held up turning, sent back to inside and finished soundly to snare 2nd, winner in different grade.
2 ALWAYS SOMETHING (CK288) D Whyte -- Forced to drift back to angle into running line, checked at 1400 M and difficult to settle, 6 to 7Ls down on bend, closed off well to take place behind some smart ones.
3 BRAVE SPIRIT (CJ258) M Chadwick B/TT Standard beginning, rolled forward from a wide alley to take up running, kept pace genuine, skipped 3Ls clear early in straight, tackled inside 200 M and lost place late.
6 BEAUTY EXPRESS (CJ284) C Williams B Taken back from widest alley in rear division, 8Ls off leaders in running line, well back to bend, made some late progress without threatening.
14 DASHING THUNDER (CD080) C W Wong -- Out in line, restrained to rear, 10Ls or so away in mid section, saved plenty of ground rounding bend, made good progress to 200 M before run ended.
11 STOLEN THUNDER (CJ003) M W Leung B Midfield early, worked forward when wide to sit first outside leader, 2Ls back throughout, close enough on bend but battled inside 300 M tiring late.
4 HEADSIWIN (CK385) J Winks H Showed early speed, positioned close up in 1 out 1 back spot, improved into clear on turning, lacked finish and just plugged away in straight.
13 VALUE CHOICE (CG213) J Lloyd B Drifted back to last after checked at 1500 M, 10Ls away sharing tail throughout, never looked likely and didn't see out trip.
5 OCEAN PRINCE (CK066) W C Marwing -- Drifted back from outside alley, was around 9Ls away on rails, still had plenty to do turning, passed only tired runners in straight.
8 EURO SWIFTLY (CK091) Y T Cheng -- Out in line, taken down to rails, 7 to 8Ls off speed throughout, spared in middle stages, steadied at 200 M and didn't see much daylight in straight. Not fully tested.
10 BEST POWER (CG006) C K Tong TT Began with more purpose, unable to slot in and raced 3 wide without cover in midfield, keen throughout, didn't finish off when workload took toll.
7 CLASSIC REUNION (CH166) K L Chui B/SR Fair beginning, faded back to be 3 wide behind midfield, 8Ls or so away throughout, had cover to bend, didn't look likely in straight.
9 SUPER CHARGE (CC299) O Doleuze B- Showed plenty of speed, took a trail after 200 M, did share of work with honest tempo, struggling turning, faded out thereafter.
