Racing Incident Report
DANCING SPIRIT jumped awkwardly with its head up, was then severely checked when crowded between BORN DRAGON which shifted in slightly and DECOUVERT which shifted out abruptly away from KOH-I-NOOR. The occurrence was accidental. In the early stages, DANCING SPIRIT proved difficult to settle and several times threw its head in the air. DANCING SPIRIT made the turn near the 1000 Metres awkwardly, got its head up and hung out onto the heels of STRIKERS. DRAGON POWER, which was following, was inconvenienced in consequence. In the early part of the straight, DRAGON POWER experienced some difficulty obtaining clear running. After the 100 Metres, MANY HAPPY RETURNS shifted in and bumped DECOUVERT. DANCING SPIRIT was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was reported that DANCING SPIRIT had bled from both nostrils.
