Racing Incident Report

INVINCIBLE GENERAL jumped very awkwardly. In the early stages, PRETTY BABY proved difficult to settle. Also in the early stages, WIN IT ALL hung in. About the 800 Metres, PRETTY BABY, which was over-racing, became unbalanced when awkward on the heels of INVINCIBLE GENERAL. Also about the 800 Metres, MELROSE STAR was initially awkward behind RED COMMANDER and shortly afterwards was awkward on the heels of WIN IT ALL. Near the 400 Metres, DANCING SURPASS was steadied when close to the heels of NATURE'S TREASURE. In the Straight, DANCING SURPASS hung in. About 100 Metres, DANCING SURPASS was momentarily unbalanced when tight between TEAM HONOUR which shifted in slightly and NATURE'S TREASURE which shifted out. On straightening, INVINCIBLE GENERAL and SUPER SPLENDID came together. When questioned, J Egan (WIN IT ALL) said the horse proved difficult for him to settle, hung in badly throughout. He said about the 800 Metres he was awkwardly placed between PRETTY BABY and NATURE'S TREASURE. When NATURE'S TREASURE went forward, DANCING SURPASS improved on his outside and as the horse was still proving difficult to manage, he felt he had no alternative but to steady towards a rearward position, shift to the outside and ensure he was able to finish the race off with clear running. The explanations submitted by J Egan on this occasion were accepted. TEAM HONOUR was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
