Racing Incident Report

On jumping, STOIC and MILLENNIUM SUPREME bumped. EQUIKIT jumped very awkwardly with its head up, then in the early stages continued to race ungenerously with its head in the air. On leaving the gates ISLAND WEST TREBLE shifted in and bumped DANEFACTOR. In the early stages RACE TO HONOUR pulled and proved very difficult to settle. Near the 200 Metres STOIC shifted out towards ISLAND WEST TREBLE then about right on the winning post again shifted out and brushed ISLAND WEST TREBLE. About 100 Metres out, LUCKY SABRE was changed course to avoid TAMBORA STAR which was stopping. J Egan (FRAME'S PEOPLE) said from a difficult gate he had been instructed by the Trainer to ride the horse somewhere about midfield if possible and if this was not possible just a little worse. He said that however the way the race was run with such a long distance from first to last, he got much further out of his ground than was planned. He said running towards the Home Turn FRAME'S PEOPLE had a tendency to get its head on the side and prove very difficult for him to shift out when racing just inside EQUIKIT. The explanations submitted by J Egan were accepted. After the race the Veterinary Surgeon reported that FRAME'S PEOPLE had sustained a wound to the lower part of its off side hind leg. LUCKY SABRE and FRAME'S PEOPLE were was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
