Racing Incident Report

On jumping, PLENTY-PLENTY shifted in, brushed RED PEPPER which in turn shifted ground and made contact with SUN SHINE RIVER. After the 200 Metres, SCHUBERT was steadied and shifted out to avoid CLIFFHANGER. Also after the 200 Metres, PLENTY-PLENTY shifted in, momentarily crowded TRIPLE EXPRESSO. Some crowding was also caused to KING OF DANES which was weakening. Over about the last 100 Metres, SUN SHINE RIVER did not obtain clear running. In the run to the winning post, BEST OF THE BEST hung out. Throughout the race, CRYSTAL CHARM was obliged to race wide and for most of the trip did not have any cover. The Stewards deferred the declaration of Weighed-In as J Egan, rider of TRIPLE EXPRESSO, and Mr J Moore, Trainer, were of the prima facie view that an incident had occurred at about the 200 Metres which may in their opinion cast doubt on whether PLENTY-PLENTY should be declared the winner. After viewing the available video films, they considered that on this occasion it was inappropriate to proceed with the lodging of an objection. Weighed-In was then semaphored. PRIME WITNESS and CLIFFHANGER were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
