Racing Incident Report
Before being presented in the Parade Ring, DANCING SOUND had an adjustment made to its off side front plate. The start was delayed as ON FIRE was difficult to load. Mr Y O Wong, Trainer of ON FIRE, was told if the horse performs similarly again, action will be taken against it. After being boxed, BRAVISSIMO became fractious and as a consequence the front gates of its barrier opened. In the early stages, LUCKSWELL raced greenly and shifted a lot of ground. Near the 700 Metres, SKY HAWK shifted out from behind RIGHT ON and brushed HAIL WINNER which at this stage was not travelling kindly and had a tendency to get its head in an awkward position. About the 600 Metres, BRAVISSIMO shifted out slightly to avoid the heels of WINMARK and in doing so bumped ELITE. About the 500 Metres, RIGHT ON was steadied when awkwardly placed behind ON FIRE. When being steadied, RIGHT ON brushed the running rail. About the 200 Metres, GOLDEN BULLET was steadied when momentarily awkward inside ON FIRE which was giving ground. After the 200 Metres, AFICIONADO shifted out and bumped ELITE. K S Yu (GOLDEN BULLET) stated he was instructed to improve along the back, but because of the position he found himself in, he was unable to do so. R Fradd (SUPER CONQUEROR) said after being boxed the horse became restless, kicked out several times. He said SUPER CONQUEROR only travelled satisfactorily for a very short distance and was well beaten a long way out. After the race, it was reported that SUPER CONQUEROR was bleeding from both nostrils. HAIL WINNER and SUPER CONQUEROR were sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was noted that WINMARK had lost its near side front plate.
