Racing Incident Report
SPLENDID STAR left the gates awkwardly. LIFELINE EXPRESS was slowly away. About the 800 Metres, SENSIBLE WAY, which was hanging in quite badly, shifted some ground, as a consequence of this, GOLCONDA was steadied to avoid its heels and shifted out slightly, this inconvenienced SPLENDID STAR which was over-racing and proved difficult to settle. SPLENDID STAR itself then shifted out and caused inconvenience to HUANG PU JIANG which shifted out abruptly, inconvenienced LIFELINE EXPRESS and obliged that horse to race momentarily wider. Rounding the Home Turn, CLASSIC RIZZI ran off. Before being allowed to race again, CLASSIC RIZZI will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. Throughout the race, ALWAYS WIN hung out. R Fradd (CONJURING) said the horse in his opinion was not striding out during the race as it should. Subsequent to the race, CONJURING was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who had the horse trotted up and he was unable to observe any significant abnormalities. ALL THRILLS TOO was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was noted that SPLENDID STAR had lost its near side hind plate.
