Racing Incident Report
CHIEF'S FORTUNE jumped awkwardly and threw its head about, then about the 600 Metres struck the running rail. About the 200 Metres, POWER HOUSE, which was giving ground, was steadied when crowded between MAJESTIC CONQUEROR and MEGA-FIGHTER which shifted out. Apprentice Y T Cheng (SUPREME PARTNERS) said the horse left the gates awkwardly, put its head down and lost some ground. He said however his intention was to always ride SUPREME PARTNERS at the back and the incident at the start in the circumstances of this race was of little or no significance. He did go on to say SUPREME PARTNERS had been difficult at the gates before and added it was his intention to try and improve on the outside, but because of the manner in which the race was run he was unable to do so and over about the last 100 Metres of the race had trouble obtaining clear running along the rail. SUPREME PARTNERS was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing.
