Racing Incident Report
TREASURE FIELD was slowly away. JUST IN TIME left the gates awkwardly. In the early stages, BLAZING BOB had a tendency to over-race and threw its head about when awkward on the heels of CONVERGENCE. When giving ground in the Straight, GOLDEN SPIRIT raced very ungenerously and as a consequence was not ridden out in the normal fashion. Before racing again, GOLDEN SPIRIT will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Subsequent to the race, T Culhane (TREASURE FIELD) reported that he was of the opinion the horse was sore in the back. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon who was unable to detect any significant abnormality. SMILING FOREST was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. An inquiry into the reason for SCENIC STAR being checked severely at about the 800 Metres was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
