Racing Incident Report

Before the first race, G Mossé was examined by the Club's doctor who said in his opinion he was fit to fulfil his engagements. ORLANDO FLYER jumped very awkwardly, shifted out slightly and was unbalanced when close to the hindquarters of RIGHT ON. When the gates opened, BOXING DAY bounded in the air. HOLE IN ONE jumped awkwardly, shifted out and bumped FORTUNE REACHING. Turning out of the Straight the first time, HOLE IN ONE, which had been ridden along to hold its position between RIGHT ON and FORTUNE REACHING, was steadied when awkward on the heels of FORTUNE REACHING. Near the 1400 Metres, HOLY RANTO got its head up and hung out badly. In the middle stages, CHAMPION RANGER had a tendency to lay in and about the 800 Metres was close to the hindquarters of BOXING DAY which had shifted to be racing one off the rail. About the 500 Metres, LUCKY SUPREME was steadied when momentarily crowded by BOXING DAY which was giving ground. CHAMPION RANGER was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, it was noted that the bandage fitted to the near side hind fetlock of ORLANDO FLYER had loosened. It was also noted that SUPERIOR TITLE was bleeding from both nostrils.
