Racing Incident Report

CLASSIC MASTER, which was standing with its head up and turned slightly to the near side, was slowly away and just after the start bumped with ACROBATIC which was taken out by SILENT PARTNER. When the gates opened, HORNET bounded in the air. MUGHAL PALACE came out awkwardly. About the 1200 Metres, RED DIAMOND threw its head about when being steadied to take up a position behind EXPEDIENT. Also about the 1200 Metres, MUGHAL PALACE, which was racing awkwardly between STOIC and STYLISH and behind BULL'S EYE, got its head up, shifted out across the heels of STOIC and was checked rather severely. In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken. Approaching the 1000 Metres, SILENT PARTNER was steadied when momentarily crowded by CLASSIC MASTER. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, HORNET, which had been racing wide, hung out. Near the 400 Metres, CLASSIC MASTER was steadied and shifted in when disappointed for running between HORNET and STYLISH which shifted out slightly. MUGHAL PALACE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and routine testing. After the race, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that an endoscopic examination was carried out and he was unable to detect any abnormality. He also said that the horse was trotted up after being unsaddled. This also failed to reveal any abnormality. However, before racing again, MUGHAL PALACE will be required to pass an official veterinary examination.
