Racing Incident Report
BOLD VICTORY was withdrawn on 18.2.02 on veterinary grounds (sore in the near side front fetlock joint) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter REFRESHINGLY. Before racing again, BOLD VICTORY will have to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and must pass an official veterinary examination. INDY'S GEM left the gates very awkwardly and threw its head about. Approaching the 1200 Metres, PROFIT TREASURE became awkward when close to the heels of BOLD VISION and shifted out. Just after this, WINNING TOUCH endeavoured to improve inside PROFIT TREASURE, was unable to do so and was steadied. When asked about the disappointing run of ANIMATED PLAYTHING, G Mossé said the horse was having its first run at Happy Valley tonight and in his opinion at no stage handled the track. He said ANIMATED PLAYTHING was in his opinion completely lost throughout, changed legs several times and made the turns very awkwardly. ANIMATED PLAYTHING was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
