Racing Incident Report
When being saddled, Mr A T Millard, trainer of MULTIZEN, noted there was a small laceration on the inside of the near nostril of the horse. He reported this to the Senior Veterinary Surgeon who said the wound had stopped bleeding and in his opinion MULTIZEN was suitable to race. When the gates opened, MERRY STAR bounded in the air, as a consequence of this Apprentice S K Sit bumped his head on an upright and was then unbalanced in the saddle. On jumping, BIA DESERT bounded in the air, left the gates awkwardly and threw its head about. About the 300 Metres, MAGICAL WARRIOR was shifted out in an endeavour to find running between DANEFACTOR and MENTOR, was unable to do so, shifted back to try and go between TURBOJET and DANEFACTOR, was unable to do so, then after the 200 Metres was shifted across the heels of TURBOJET abruptly to find running on the rail.
