Racing Incident Report
THE KING OF CLOYNE was withdrawn on 10.5.02 on veterinary grounds (lame near hind) and replaced by Standby Declared Starter TRUST ME (W M Lai). Before being allowed to race again, THE KING OF CLOYNE will be required to pass an official veterinary examination. Whilst parading, FANTASY kicked out and made contact with a rail. After arriving at the Start, the horse was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and after the necessary consultations he said the horse was suitable to race. SPARKY left the gates awkwardly and threw its head about. Near the 400 Metres, SPARKY shifted out. As a consequence of this, CHUTZPAH, which was giving ground, was inclined to get its head up and was momentarily unbalanced. Approaching the 200 Metres, STYLISH was momentarily crowded for room between CHAMP DE UNION and ONE STEP AHEAD.
