Racing Incident Report

PROFIT TREASURE left the gates awkwardly and shifted out. On jumping, CHIVAS LAD was crowded for room between COMFORT and HARMONY PRINCE, both of which shifted some ground. NEW DYNASTY left the gates very awkwardly, threw its head about, shifted out and bumped CLASSIC CHOICE, then in the early stages raced very ungenerously, was reluctant to stretch out and in addition to this hung out throughout. The performance of NEW DYNASTY was considered unacceptable. Before the horse will be allowed to race again, it must perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial and must pass an official veterinary examination. For some distance after the 500 Metres, CHIVAS LAD was held up behind RETURN A SMILE and inside the hindquarters of LEAD TO WIN. CHIVAS LAD obtained running on straightening. Approaching the 200 Metres, ROMANTIC VENTURE, which was closing off well, was steadied and shifted out to avoid RETURN A SMILE. S Dye (HARMONY PRINCE) said at no stage did the horse handle the ground, was reluctant to stretch out throughout and was well beaten in the Straight. SUPER ELITE was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
