Racing Incident Report
BOLD VICTORY left the gates very awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, as a consequence of this, HEART'S DESIRE was severely checked. BOLD VICTORY was then obliged to race wide throughout and over the concluding stages hung in. MEGA-FIGHTER jumped awkwardly and threw its head about, then in the Straight hung in. MR HONOUR was slowly away, then about the 1000 Metres shifted in abruptly. As a consequence of this, MEGA-FIGHTER was steadied. A Suborics (HOLY QUEST) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)]. The careless riding being that near the 200 Metres, he allowed his mount to shift in whilst riding it along. As a consequence of this, VIGOROSO was rather severely checked. LUCKY SUPREME and WIN IT ALL were unnecessarily crowded for room. A Suborics was suspended from riding in races for a period to commence on Thursday 7 February 2002 and to expire on Thursday 28 February 2002 on which day he may resume race riding (5 Hong Kong race days). About 100 Metres out, LUCKY SUPREME was steadied and shifted in to avoid HOLY QUEST.
