Racing Incident Report

O Doleuze was fined $2,000 for accepting the rides on both TURF LUCK and SUNNY. It was established that O Doleuze had a firm commitment to ride SUNNY. TURF LUCK left the gates very awkwardly and just after the start was bumped by TALK OF THE TOWN which shifted out. PREMIER SPEED did not jump well and bumped the inside of its stall. On leaving the gates, EN RAPPORT threw its head about and LUCKY COMBINATION bounded in the air. About the 800 Metres, TALK OF THE TOWN, which was being ridden along to try and maintain its position, was checked when crowded between TURF LUCK which was taken out slightly by CHINA WORLD and SUNNY which was taken in slightly by LUCKY COMBINATION. In view of the circumstances, no action was taken. About the 600 Metres, UTMOST EASY was momentarily unbalanced when close to the heels of COLLEGE TOWN. Approaching and rounding the Home Turn, both BRUIN SUPREME and NEW DYNASTY hung out. Rounding the turn and in the Straight, LUCKY COMBINATION hung in badly. About the 300 Metres, UTMOST EASY was checked when disappointed for running between NEW DYNASTY and LUCKY COMBINATION which was hanging in. Because of the circumstances, no action was taken. J Egan (NEW DYNASTY) was told whilst the Stewards acknowledged the horse was well beaten near the 200 Metres, he should keep riding along at least hands and heels whenever possible right to the winning post. After the race, Apprentice K C Tsang (EN RAPPORT) said he was concerned with the action of the horse. EN RAPPORT was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. He said he was unable to find any abnormality.
