Racing Incident Report
FAMOUS BRAND left the gates awkwardly, bounded in the air and threw its head about. Just after the start, WINMARK was checked rather severely when crowded between DANHERO which shifted in away from ELEPHANT DANCE and ALL THE GLORY which shifted out after being brushed by JET JACKSON which itself was bumped by HEADING TO WIN. In view of all the circumstances, no action was taken. In the early stages, DANHERO was inclined to over-race and proved difficult to settle. W Woods (CHAMPION BOY) said near the 800 Metres, the horse for reasons unknown to him attempted to jump, became unbalanced and nearly fell. FAMOUS BRAND and WINMARK were hampered as a consequence. Before being allowed to race again, CHAMPION BOY will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official barrier trial around a bend. About the 400 Metres, JET JACKSON was steadied and shifted out to avoid ELEPHANT DANCE. In the run to the winning post, DANHERO hung in. As a consequence of this, some inconvenience was caused to ALL THE GLORY about 50 Metres out. Also in the run to the winning post, WINMARK, which was making some ground, was steadied when racing close to the heels of FAMOUS BRAND. DANHERO was sent for clinical veterinary examination and testing.
