Racing Incident Report

Trainer I W Allan was today fined $3,000 for incorrectly declaring C Soumillon as the rider of HOUSEMASTER when B Prebble had been engaged [Rule 82(4)]. PRECISION, which was standing with its head turned to the left hand side, was slow to begin. Near the 800 Metres, PRECISION was brushed by SUPER MOLLY which shifted in when proving difficult to settle. For some distance after this, SUPER MOLLY continued to prove difficult to settle. In the early part of the Straight, PRECISION had difficulty obtaining a clear run and near the 300 Metres was steadied and shifted out to go forward. R Fradd (ELECTRONIC UNICORN) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding [Rule 100(1)] in that near the 250 Metres he permitted his mount to shift in when not clear of RED PEPPER, causing that horse to be carried in and caused crowding on its inside to SUPER MOLLY which as a result shifted in, causing HOUSEMASTER to lose its rightful running and be checked. R Fradd was suspended from riding in races for a period to expire on Thursday 10 April 2003 on which day he may resume race riding (4 Hong Kong race days). The commencement of this suspension was deferred until after the Sha Tin meeting next Wednesday 26 March 2003. ELECTRONIC UNICORN and GOGGLES were sent for sampling.
