Racing Incident Report
After being boxed, FANTASTIC HORSE was fractious, then when the gates opened bounded in the air, lost ground and consequently got well back. SEASONS KNACK was slow to begin. On the latter part of the Home Turn, KONRAD THE GREAT was reluctant to shift to the outside of PARADIS to find running. On straightening, DONGGUAN EXCELS was shifted to the inside of COMME D'HABITUDE to improve, then near the 300 Metres was momentarily held up behind FELICITY and HOLY QUEST which was giving ground. Near the 300 Metres, BRAVE KNIGHT momentarily shifted out. This caused inconvenience to CZAR OF PRUSSIA, ATHLETIC GOLD, PARADIS, KONRAD THE GREAT and FANTASTIC HORSE which were racing to its outside, the worst sufferers being KONRAD THE GREAT and FANTASTIC HORSE which became unbalanced. From a wide draw, throughout the race ATHLETIC GOLD raced wide and without cover. SALUZI was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, SALUZI was examined by the Veterianry Officer. No abnormalities were detected. BRAVE KNIGHT, DONGGUAN EXCELS and CZAR OF PRUSSIA were sent for sampling. After the race, it was noted COMME D'HABITUDE had lost its right front plate.
