Racing Incident Report

When the gates opened, PERPETUAL PLEASURE bounded in the air and then bumped SUPER CATCHER. HAPPY MOMENTUM was slow to begin and shortly afterwards was checked when crowded for room between DANRIVA and ONLY YOU which on jumping shifted out away from DETERMINATION which also shifted out. On jumping, LUCKY PORT was crowded for room between SAINT THOMAS and DANRIVA, both of which shifted ground. OKEYDOKEY was slow to begin. Approaching the 800 Metres, SUGAR AND SPICE was awkwardly placed inside the heels of ONLY YOU, then after the 800 Metres was steadied away from the heels of ONLY YOU which shifted in when only just clear. Some inconvenience was caused to LUCKY PORT which was following. In the middle stages, OKEYDOKEY raced ungenerously and failed to hold its position initially inside SAINTLY PARTNERS and then inside LUCKY PORT. Making the Home Turn, ONLY YOU hung out. In the Straight, OKEYDOKEY tailed out. OKEYDOKEY was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. After the race, OKEYDOKEY was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said there were no significant findings. The performance of OKEYDOKEY was considered unacceptable. Before being allowed to race again, OKEYDOKEY will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial around a bend and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. Also in the Straight, DETERMINATION hung out. HAPPY MOMENTUM was sent for a clinical veterinary examination and sampling. A veterinary examination of HAPPY MOMENTUM after the race failed to reveal any significant findings. SAINT THOMAS and LUCKY PORT were sent for sampling.
