Racing Incident Report

FIGHTING MASCOT was slow to begin. When the gates opened, KINGSTON WINNER bounded in the air. NILOMETER, which was standing badly, began awkwardly, shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of SAMBUCA. Near the 1500 Metres, HELENE MOMENTUM was steadied when crowded for room between DASHING THUNDER which was carried out slightly by MONARDS and SAMBUCA which was carried in slightly by GOLCONDA which at this time had its head on the side and was hanging in. Near the 1300 Metres, KING DRAGON brushed the running rail and became unbalanced. MY CHIEF, which had drawn a gate towards the outside, raced wide and without cover in the early stages, and after entering the Back Straight when proving somewhat difficult to settle was allowed to stride forward, then in the Straight gave ground. MY CHIEF was sent for a clinical veterinary examination. A veterinary examination of MY CHIEF after the race did not show any significant findings. At the 900 Metres, CLASSA WIN, which was proving difficult to settle, was awkwardly placed close to the heels of KING DRAGON. Making the Home Turn, KINGSTON WINNER was tight inside SAMBUCA. Over the concluding stages, DANRIVA hung in. For the majority of the race, NILOMETER hung in. GOLCONDA and KINGSTON WINNER were sent for sampling.
