Racing Incident Report
When being saddled, EXCELLENT DAY shifted its right front plate. This plate was reset in the saddling stalls. The horse was examined by the Veterinary Officer who said in his opinion it was suitable to race. Whilst being paraded prior to the race, FLAG FINDER shifted its right front plate and sustained a puncture wound to that foot. Acting on veterinary advice that FLAG FINDER was lame in the right front foot and was not suitable to race, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of that horse. Before being allowed to race again, FLAG FINDER will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EXCELLENT DAY was slow to begin. Near the 250 Metres, KING PALM, which was having difficulty obtaining clear running, was steadied and shifted to the outside of SUPREME STAR to go forward. Throughout the race, CROISSANT raced wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. TELECOM SUPERBOSS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of TELECOM SUPERBOSS after the race did not show any significant findings. SOLIDER ON and KING PALM were sent for sampling.
