Racing Incident Report
WATCHMAN was withdrawn on raceday morning by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (lame left fore foot). Before being allowed to race again, WATCHMAN will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. JOIN VICTORY bounded in the air on jumping, shifted in and caused crowding to GIDDY KIPPER and FLYING PROFILE. SPECTACULAR HIT began awkwardly and lost ground. Approaching the winning post on the first occasion, SPECTACULAR HIT got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of SUNDAY DELIGHT. Near the 1300 Metres, KOWLOON FIT became unbalanced when momentarily crowded for room inside FLYING PROFILE. After the 1200 Metres, GIDDY KIPPER shifted in and bumped the hindquarters of SUNDAY DELIGHT, then shifted out. As a consequence, KING OF SPADES was carried wider. RISING WIN raced wide and without cover throughout the race and in the middle stages was allowed to stride forward. After the 700 Metres, KING OF SPADES was left racing wide and without cover, then in the Straight gave ground. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, GIDDY KIPPER became unbalanced when awkwardly placed inside the heels of GLORIOUS RHYTHM. Making the Home Turn and in the early part of the Straight, STEP FORWARD was held up and unable to obtain clear running when racing behind SOARING ANGEL and inside JOIN VICTORY. On straightening, SPECTACULAR HIT was disappointed for running between FLYING PROFILE and SUNDAY DELIGHT which shifted out. Near the 200 Metres, STEP FORWARD shifted to the outside of SOARING ANGEL and improved into a run which had presented itself on the outside of that horse and inside JOIN VICTORY. Then for some distance JOIN VICTORY and STEP FORWARD raced tight initially due to JOIN VICTORY shifting in and then later due to STEP FORWARD getting its head on the side and shifting out. After the 200 Metres, SUNDAY DELIGHT and GIDDY KIPPER bumped. KOWLOON FIT and STEP FORWARD were sent for sampling.
