Racing Incident Report

AMO, which was standing badly, was slow to begin, SABRE AND GOLD began awkwardly and lost ground. GOOD TRIO began awkwardly and was then steadied away from the heels of GALLANT KNIGHT which shifted out after beginning awkwardly. BULB KING began awkwardly, then was slow to muster speed despite being ridden along and near the 1100 Metres was steadied away from the heels of SENSIBLE WAY. After this, BULB KING proved difficult to settle and near the 900 Metres raced ungenerously when awkwardly placed close to the heels of STARDANE. Making the turn at the 600 Metres, HELENE ELEGANCE was steadied away from the heels of SENSIBLE WAY. AMO made the turn at the 600 Metres awkwardly, shifted out and caused interference to GOOD TRIO. In the early part of the Straight, PROGRESSING TIMES was held up and had difficulty obtaining clear running when racing behind HELENE ELEGANCE. Near the 250 Metres, WISHMASTER, which was hanging in, was checked when disappointed for running between THE WORLD OF LOVE and CALIFORNIA HEART which shifted out after being bumped by BULB KING which at this time shifted to the outside of STARDANE to obtain clear running. As the Stewards were satisfied WISHMASTER had not established rightful running, no action was taken. At the 150 Metres, O Doleuze (BULB KING) dropped his whip. At the 100 Metres, W M Lai (SABRE AND GOLD) dropped his whip. CALIFORNIA HEART raced wide and without cover throughout. SENSIBLE WAY and PROGRESSING TIMES were sent for sampling.
