Racing Incident Report

SEVENS HEAVEN began awkwardly and shortly afterwards was steadied when crowded for room between TERRAFERMA and FAVOURITE RETURN, both of which shifted ground. ZEONIC FRONTIER began awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground. Shortly after the start, SPY KING was steadied when crowded for room between RAINBOW EXPRESS and TSUNAMI which shifted in. As a consequence, SPY KING lost ground and travelled well back. After crossing to the lead near the 1200 Metres, LUCKY WINNER proved difficult to settle. Making the turn at the 800 Metres, SPY KING became unbalanced when racing tight inside TSUNAMI. For a considerable distance after the 400 Metres, SOLAR POWER had difficulty obtaining clear running. Over the concluding stages, SPY KING shifted wider on the track. Throughout the race, KING PALM travelled wide and without cover. S Dye (RAINBOW EXPRESS) said at no stage of today's race did the horse travel comfortably. He said in his opinion the horse's poor performance was attributable to this race being its second start after a spell. He said in the past RAINBOW EXPRESS had performed below expectations when racing second up. RAINBOW EXPRESS was sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of RAINBOW EXPRESS after the race did not show any significant findings. TERRAFERMA and SUPER HONEY were sent for sampling.
