Racing Incident Report

VITAL KING bounded in the air at the start and lost ground. On jumping, SUPER WONGCHOY was steadied when crowded for room between GENERAL KINGY and CANNONISE which shifted out. Shortly after the start, HAWKES BAY was steadied to avoid the heels of SAVUTE which shifted in when not properly clear. At the 1100 Metres, PALETTE NATURAL was steadied to avoid the heels of DANEHILL EXPRESS. Approaching the turn at the 800 Metres, SIR ERNESTO proved difficult to settle. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, HAWKES BAY hung out. HAWKES BAY continued to hang out until after straightening. For the entire Home Straight, EXPECTATIONS had difficulty obtaining clear running and was not fully tested. For the major part of the race, SAVUTE raced wide and without cover. After the race, R Fradd (GREAT ACHIEVEMENT) reported his mount did not appreciate today's track conditions. DANEHILL EXPRESS and GREAT ACHIEVEMENT were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of DANEHILL EXPRESS and GREAT ACHIEVEMENT after the race did not show any significant findings. HAWKES BAY and SIR ERNESTO were sent for sampling.
