Racing Incident Report

CAPITALAND began awkwardly and lost ground. From the outside barrier, AMSTERDAM was taken across behind runners. Shortly after the start, FORTUNE WARRIOR was checked when crowded for room between PRESENT TREASURE which began awkwardly and shifted out and FLYING BISHOP which shifted in after being bumped by SUPER DANA. Passing the winning post on the first occasion, LUCKY MONEY was steadied away from the heels of KING OF FISH. On straightening, PRESENT TREASURE was shifted in after being disappointed for running between FRIENDSHIP and KING OF FISH. Approaching the 200 Metres, W M Lai (EVERGREEN) dropped his right rein. For some distance after the 200 Metres, DON RICARDO was held up and unable to obtain clear running. Throughout the race, EVERGREEN travelled wide and without cover and in the Straight gave ground. B Prebble (LUCKY MONEY) was unable to offer any explanation for the poor performance of the horse. He said the horse travelled a little further back than anticipated as it did not show its usual gate speed. He said approaching the turn at the 600 Metres LUCKY MONEY commenced to hang in, because of this he changed the whip into his right hand. He said in the Straight LUCKY MONEY did not close the race off as he had expected and was disappointing. LUCKY MONEY was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. CAPITALAND and EVERGREEN were sent for an official veterinary inspection. A veterinary inspection of LUCKY MONEY, CAPITALAND and EVERGREEN after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPER DANA and FRIENDSHIP were sent for sampling.
