Racing Incident Report

SUNRISE RAINBOW was a little slow to begin and shortly afterwards lost further ground when crowded for room between FUJIAN PRINCE and MASTER ABLE. From the outside barrier, CHEEKY LAD was restrained in the early stages and taken across behind runners to a position on the rail but at the rear. Near the 1100 Meters, SUNRISE RAINBOW was steadied away from the heels of TATTENHALL DELIGHT. Near the 1000 Metres, MASTER ABLE got its head up when close to the heels of RIVER TANGO which at this time shifted to a position behind G-ONE LEADING. Near the 800 Metres, FUJIAN PRINCE was steadied away from the heels of UNIQUE SPEED which itself was steadied away from the heels of NOBLE ZOOM which at this time allowed MIRACULOUS to cross to the lead in the fence. At the 100 Metres, UNIQUE SPEED was shifted to the outside of MIRACULOUS into clear running. Also at the 100 Metres, CHEEKY LAD, which was closing the race off strongly, was steadied and shifted to the outside of NOBLE ZOOM which was giving ground. When CHEEKY LAD shifted out, TATTENHALL DELIGHT was initially carried wider, then shifted further on its own accord, causing some inconvenience to MASTER ABLE which was steadied. The performance of RIVER TANGO, which tailed out, was considered unacceptable. Before being permitted to race again, RIVER TANGO will have to perform competitively in an official barrier trial and be subjected to an official veterinary examination. UNIQUE SPEED and FUJIAN PRINCE were sent for sampling.
